We're off! We headed out from Madison at noon. It took two hours to get to Chicago O'Hare airport for our flight.
We arrived in two hours flat, returned our rental car, checked in and got through security with no issues. We headed to the Air France lounge and had a round of drinks to cheers to the start of our journey... Aperol Spritz of course... Penny's drink of choice. :)
I redeemed credit card miles for Air France Business Class. It was great... other than Penny's seat next to Kory being broken. She ended up two rows in front of us. The service, food, French wine and flight were great. The flight attendants kept bringing more and more wine... it was a wine tasting in the air. Lol.
The captain said in his introductory remarks that it would be a smooth flight until we got over the U.K. He wasn't wrong... we started bouncing and shaking as soon as we got over Ireland. We made it to Paris after a flight just over 7 hours.
Penny is fancy...
