March 13. Over the Pacific Ocean.

We departed right on schedule at 9pm on UA flight 642 for the 6,504 mile journey to Auckland.

I had no concept of space or time... The flight time was just under 13 hours, getting us in about 45 minutes ahead of schedule, 6am-ish Thursday morning.

We had turbulence on and off throughout the flight, none worse than about an hour straight about three hours in. They told the flight attendants to sit down and then check in during that time. 

I know planes are safe, but turbulence still frazzles me and stresses me out. I don't know how many people around us were out cold and snoring loud during all that time! 

We watched the new Hunger Games movie, are our dinner and then just tried to sleep on and off for the next 10 hours.

We have landed and now the real fun can begin!!!
